Born and raised in East Tennessee, I now call San Antonio home. I don’t represent moonshiners like my great-grandfather once did, but I am very proud to carry on the family tradition of standing up for the citizen accused.
I am a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University (’06 B.S. Political Science). Like most Political Science majors, I had no career trajectory after college. So, I bought a one-way ticket to the Czech Republic and became an English teacher. It was an exciting adventure, but I needed something more in my life.
I moved to Texas in 2008 and began my legal studies at St. Mary’s University School of Law. While in law school, there was no doubt in my mind what kind of law I was going to practice. I made it my mission to get a job with the best Criminal Defense firm in San Antonio – and I did.
After winning multiple advocacy tournaments in law school, I started a clerkship with LaHood & Del Cueto, PLLC. Working under Nico LaHood and Andrew del Cueto proved to be an invaluable learning experience for me.
Today, my practice is 100% dedicated to Criminal Defense. I handle a wide variety of misdemeanor and felony cases as a Defense Attorney. I also represent people seeking to expunge or seal their criminal records. San Antonio is my home base, but I take cases all across Central and South Texas.
I love my job. I love standing up for people who have literally everything to lose.
The people I represent get a high-caliber, aggressive defense. There is no doing it “half-way.”
I’m going to turn over every stone, shake every tree, and use every tool available to win. If you want an attorney to plea you on your first day in court, I am not the lawyer for you.
I was honored to be named one of the best Criminal Defense Attorneys in San Antonio in 2017 and to be nominated and accepted into the National Trial Lawyers Association Top 40 under 40 for Criminal Defense.
This is serious and the stakes are high. I limit the number of clients I take so that I can provide personalized service to each one.
Call or send a text to 210-920-1281 and you’re going to get me. Not a secretary. Not a law clerk. Not some associate attorney you don’t know.
The State is working on your conviction. Let’s start building your defense.
